City conjoined twins looking at UK doctors for new life

A team of doctors from Great Almond Hospital in United Kingdom are scheduled to examine the conjoined twin sisters, Veena and Vani on Saturday.

Veena and Vani are under treatment at city based Niloufer Hospital. The twins had been suffering by birth, almost from 11 years.

According to doctors, the Doctors team from UK will examine the duo. Once doctors give a nod for operation, the conjoined twins would be flown to UK.

It is reported that Dr David and Dr Jeelani from UK have successfully performed a similar surgery in the past.

Niloufer doctors said that “according to UK team 10-15 operations would be required to separate the conjoined twin sisters”.

According to sources doctors from across globe will take part in the process of operation. Once doctors examined them, feasibility and complications will be explained to the parents and also a report will be sent to the State government.
