City College administration toying with the future of Muslim students

City College administration is trying to stop several Muslim students of Intermediate I & II year from appearing the annual exam. Students and parents told that they are being deprived of appearing the exam on the pretext of short of attendance.

Although the fee was to be paid in September but the college administration asked the students to pay the fee under tatkal scheme but now that the last date to pay the fee under tatkal scheme is December 6, as many as 32 Muslim students are not being allowed to pay the fee. The general rule regarding that is that students can pay the fee along with the late fee of Rs 500 on or before December 6 and those students who fall short of attendance can appear in the exams by paying a fine of Rs. 500 but the Muslim students are not given the opportunity to pay the fee while the non-Muslim students who were regular absentees were reportedly given the opportunity to pay the fee.

Thus Muslim students of City College feel discrimination and prejudice against them. Reportedly students who have opted Urdu or Arabic as the second language instead of Hindi are deliberately being targeted.
