Hyderabad city is one among the few cities of the country which attracts thousands of local and foreign tourists daily. Tourists throng the city to catch a glimpse of spectacular heritage structures. Hyderabad is considered to be the safest tourist place for tourist. Charminar, Makkah Masjid, Salarjung Museum, Chaumahalla Palace, Qutub Shahi Tombs and Golconda Fort are the major tourist attractions. On Sunday nearly 61531 tourists visited Charminar, Makkah Masjid, Salarjung Museum, Chaumahalla Palace, Qutub Shahi Tombs, Golconda Fort and Nehru Zoological Park. 4000 tourists visited Charminar and Makkah Masjid on a single day.
8331 people visited Salarjung Museum on Sunday. 1500 tourists visited Chaumahalla Palace which was earlier spread over 45 acres land and has now shrunk to only 12 acres. More than 30000 people visited Zoo Park on Sunday while 2700 tourists visited Qutub Shahi Tombs.
Ironically the government and the government institutions earn a revenue of crores of rupees from the tourist spots build by the Muslim rulers but they don’t bother to set up Urdu sign boards at most of the tourists places.
