(Siasat News) Muslim Wakf properties Protection Society has urged the Wakf Board and the Govt. of A.P. to protect Wakf properties. Two cinema houses are being run in Yellow Bungalow of Khairiatabad.
Mr. Shah Alam, Advocate in a statement issued while addressing a press conference demanded that Nawab Iqbal Yar Jung had registered this property as Wakf in 1902 for the welfare of his family members. This property was meant for Syed Muneeruddin and his family members. After his death his son and two daughters claimed this property. They leased out this property on 5th June 1970 for 60 years with a condition that no illegal activities would be transacted but later two cinema houses have been set up which is an act contrary to Islamic Shariat. CEO Wakf had cancelled this agreement on 13th August 1999 and had ordered to take possession of this property before 5th September 1999. The lease deed was cancelled on 30th June 1999. Wakf Board should take action in this case.
