The Commercial Taxes department today said some cinema theatre managements in the State collecting higher amounts than the notified ticket rates on the eve of release of new movies is contrary to the provisions of Telangana Entertainment Tax, 1939.
The CT Department asked all theatre owners to collect the notified rates of ticket only and pay Entertainment Tax on sale of number of tickets sold. It also asked the general public to pass on any violations by any theatre owners by calling toll-free number of C.T. Department 18004253787. (NSS)
