CID submits report to DGP on MK Singh

Hyderabad, September 25: The state Crime Investigation Department (CID), which conducted an enquiry into the allegations against IPS officer MK Singh, today submitted the report to director general of police K Aravinda Rao. The report would be forwarded to the state government in the next couple of days.

Sources told Express that the enquiry was conducted based on the directions of the court.

The allegations range from misappropriation of funds in construction of a kalyana mandapam and an apartment complex for police officials while Singh was posted as SP of Krishna district.

Sources said that earlier, the state Intelligence wing had conducted an internal enquiry but later, since the matter went to the court, a separate enquiry was ordered. ”The report has been sent to the DGP. It is an exhaustive report,” CID sources said.
