The Crime Investigation Department has filed a petition in the local court seeking custody of Bhanu Kiran, the alleged killer of factionist Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy, alias Suri who was mudered on January 3, 2011. The Court at Nampally postponed the hearing of the CBI’s petition till tomorrow after it sought 15-day custody of Kiran. The CID police had arrested Kiran on April 21 at Zaheerabad in Medak district. Suri was sent to judicial remand after his arrest and was lodged in Cherlapally prison.
