The Abids police today registered a case against the Karimnagar three town Circle Inspector Swamy and Warangal Women police Station SI Rajyalakshmi, on charges of allegedly having an extra-marital affair. Both the CI and the woman SI were posted to Hyderabad on Assembly duty.
A room was allotted for Swamy in Dwaraka hotel in Lakdikapool. However, Swamy is stated to have booked another room in Brindavanam hotel, where the women SI was living.
It is said that suspecting an extra-marital affair, the woman SI’s husband Sunil visited Hyderabad. When he knocked the door of the woman SI, the Circle Inspector came out and tried to run away pushing aside Sunil. Sunil then lodged a complaint with the Abids police.
Following his complaint, police raided the Brindavanam hotel. The duo were taken into custody and a case was registered against them.
Both the CI and the woman SI, however, denied the allegation. (NSS)
