Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali today said that the government will host Christmas dinner at Nizam College grounds on December 22. Inspecting the arrangements at the college grounds here he reviewed with the officials on the dinner being hosted by the government. He later told reporters that the government is spending Rs 15 cr for the Christmas festivities by distributing clothes, gift packs and conducting dinners.
He said that the dinner will be offered at the Nizam College to mark the holy Christmas festival and a large number of people are to turn up. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is offering equal respect to all religions in the state he said. All festivals are getting due importance in the state of Telangana Ali said. The deputy chief minister said that the officials sanctioned Rs 1 lakh each to 213 churches in villages and Rs 1 lakh each to 95 churches in towns. Christmas will be celebrated across the state just like that of Ramzan, Bonalu and Bathukamma festival. Ali said that the officials were asked to provide facilities like LED screens, drinking water, power supply, mobile toilets, decoration with flowers, sanitation, public address system, traffic regulation and parking for easy passage to the stadium.
