Christians demand ban on Sri Rama Sena

Hyderabad, May 17: The National Congress of Indian Christians (NCIC) has demanded a ban on the Sri Rama Sena headed by Pramod Muthalik and operating in Karnataka. Describing the sena as a fundamentalist organisation, the NCIC demanded that the Central Government order a probe into this and other such bodies by a national investigative agency. It further called for a ban on such entities and the arrest of their leaders under NASA to safeguard public security. NCIC president CA Daniel Adams pointed out that Pramod Mutahalik was caught on camera taking money to organise communal riots in Bangalore and other places in Karnataka.

He took strong objection to Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and the BJP government supporting the Rama Sena which was behind the attacks on Christians and their churches and other institutions throughout that State recently. It was the agenda of the BJP and its front organisations to make a scapegoat of the minorities, particularly Muslims and Christians and their missionaries, Adams said.
