(NSS): The Christian Disciplinary Committee of India has demanded that the Union government order an inquiry into the affairs of all the Christian NGOs, which were receiving funds from foreign countries. It also demanded that the Centre get the financial accounts of the NGOs audited every three months.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, CDCI honorary adviser Rev. Dr K. Swamydas demanded that the Centre immediately proscribe the Christian religious program titled “Power to Change” being organized by a Chennai-based organization. He also alleged that the organization was deceiving the Christians and misusing their money received from abroad. He criticized the Power to Change organization for misusing and squandering huge sums on advertising instead of distributing the same for development of churches in the country.Swamydas alleged that some Hindu religious organizations were campaigning that the Christian religious leaders were forcibly converting Hindus into Christianity.
