Chris Rock returns to host 88th Academy Awards

American actor- comedian Chris Rock will be hosting the 88th Academy awards in February for the second time, the organisers have announced on Wednesday.

Earlier Chris hosted the 77th Annual Academy Awards. The Academy awards are going to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Sunday, Feb.28 and will be broadcast live on ABC.

Producer David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a news release that. “Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry.”
“Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian , he’s done it all. He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!”

The Academy CEO Dawn Hudson said. “Chris may be best known as a stand-up comic, but we think of him as a creative innovator in many other ways. He is unafraid in his artistry.”

Rock said “I’m so glad to be hosting the Oscars,” “It’s great to be back.”
