Union Minister and Seemandhra election campaign committee chief K Chiranjeevi and APCC Chief N Raghuveera Reddy today lashed out former chief ministers N Kiran Kumar Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu for their outbursts against the Congress.
During their campaigning in Guntur district, the duo participated in a “Meet The Press” program at Vijayawada. They criticized Kiran and other Congress leaders for deserting the party for selfish gains. Those who enjoyed top posts in the party are now changing loyalties for political mileage, they alleged. “Though the division was painful, we are shouldering the responsibility of campaigning for the party in Seemandhra to develop 13 districts. Now our focus is on developing these districts on par with Hyderabad and other developing cities, they added.
“Though opportunistic leaders were indulging in deceptive tactics, the party activists are with us”, they said. They also flayed Kiran for floating a new political outfit after defying Congress on bifurcation issue. Despite his Jai Samaikyandhra Party, which has no relevance in the wake of division of the State into Telangana and residual Andhra Pradesh, the people and leaders will compel him to join other party. “We will strengthen our party in all the districts and involve them for rebuilding new AP to witness continuous development” they said.
They also slammed the TDP chief for his rhetoric against the Congress. Naidu is indulging in a double talk on each and everything for political gains, they alleged. They urged the people not to believe Naidu, who was promising “Moon” at every campaign point. The people are aware of Naidu’s confusion, lack of clarity on bifurcation, dual talk and will defeat him in the ensuing elections, they said. Since the Congress was noted for implementing welfare and development programs, the people will certainly vote for Congress, they added. (NSS)
