Chiru Calls On Naidu, Expresses Solidarity

Hyderabad, December 23: The Praja Rajyam party president, Mr K Chiranjeevi, on Thursday called on his Telugu Desam party counterpart, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, at the NIMS hospital, who has been on an indefinite fast over a week over the plight of farmers in the State.

He also expressed his solidarity with the fasting former chief minister. He reportedly enquired with the doctors about the health condition of Mr Naidu.

Speaking to the media later, the actor-turned politician said that the health condition of Mr Naidu was critical. He said that the State government was bound to ensure that Mr Naidu gives up his fast.

Referring to the Rs 400-crore package announced by the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, for the cyclone-hit farmers in the State, Mr Chiranjeevi said that the farmers were not satisfied with it and suggested that the government enhance the same.
