Chiru blames govt for flare-up at Tuni

Congress Rajya Sabha member Dr K Chiranjeevi has alleged that train torching incident during ‘Kapu Garjana’ was due to lack of transparent rule of TDP government in Andhra Pradesh State.
Chiranjeevi addressed an open letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday on Tuni incidents. Expressing shock over the train burning, Chiranjeevi alleged that the TDP government had assured Kapus to include them in the BC list before last Assembly elections but failed even after 18 months. The Chief Minister stated that he will allocate Rs 1,000 crore every year for welfare of Kapus but only allocated Rs 100 crore. The Chief Minister forgot his word of waiving of DWCRA women’s loans.
Chiranjeevi also demanded that the Chief Minister include Kapus in the BC list without doing any sort of injustice to the BCs already existing and make a unanimous resolution in the Assembly and send the same to the Centre. Alleging that the TDP government was not following transparency in the construction of Amaravathi, Chiranjeevi said it was atrocious on the part of the Chief Minister that he was resorting to counter allegations instead of fulfilling the assurances made by the State government. Chiranjeevi warned that not only Kapus but also BCs, Women and farmers, who gave their lands for the sake of capital construction, will come on to the roads to take up movements. (NSS)
