Chiru to approach PM after meeting displaced families

Hyderabad, June 03: Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi has decided to approach Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the Polavaram project only after meeting the displaced families.

According to a press release here today, the Prime Minister’s Office responded favourably to Chiranjeevi’s letter this evening seeking an appointment for the PRP delegation to discuss the Polavaram and PranahithaChevella projects.

The PMO, in response, has asked the PRP to decide on the time and date. Chiranjeevi had earlier sought to submit a memorandum to the prime minister requesting national status for the two projects.

Meanwhile, the PRP leader held a teleconference with district party presidents and important functionaries and discussed various issues. He urged them to strive to enrol as many eligible people as possible in the voters list.
