Chiranjeevi says media targeting him

Anantapur, January 29: The Praja Rajyam party president, Mr K. Chiranjeevi, has lamented that a particular section of the media was targeting him and spreading malicious propaganda against him.

Talking to the media here on Friday, the former megastar said that he did not understand what mistake he had committed for the media to particularly target him. He said he did not understand their agenda.

Stating that he had no craze for power, Mr Chiranjeevi said that all those who work for public good were his friends.

When asked if his party would support the government in case there was a no-confidence motion in the Assembly, he said that he would discuss the matter with his party colleagues and decide. However, he stated that his party was supporting the Congress government in the State.

When asked about the possibility of mid-term polls in the State, he said there was no such possibility. Mr Chiranjeevi was critical of both the Centre and the State government for their failure to control prices of essential commodities. He said that one newspaper and a TV channel were trying to eliminate him from politics. He has suggested that it would be better for the society, if that particular media concentrated on corruption and black money in the country.
