Hyderabad, December 04: After several hours of suspense, the Praja Rajyam Party MLAs have finally decided to support the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government and will vote against the No Confidence Motion in the assembly.
The announcement was made by Chiranjeevi himself after holding a meeting with 17 PRP MLAs at his residence here on Sunday evening. Chiranjeevi told reporters that the PRP MLAs have pledged support to the State Government and would ensure that the No Confidence Motion is defeated on the floor of the House.
Chiranjeevi said that Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Sonia Gandhi’s Political Advisor Ahmed Patel, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana had detailed discussions with him. They assured him that they would address the concerns of PRP MLAs and they would be treated on par with other Congress MLAs.
The PRP has also decided to issue a whip to all the MLAs including Shobha Nagi Reddy, who is presently with the YSR Congress, for voting against the No Confidence Motion on Monday.
