Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal has said that there was no chance for Rajya Sabha member K. Chiranjeevi to become chief minister of the State.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Lagadapati predicted that Chiranjeevi would get a berth in the Union Ministry in the next cabinet expansion. The Prime Minister may induct Chiranjeevi in his Cabinet shortly.
Ridiculing the statement of TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao that separate Telangana State would be created by the end of September, Lagadapati quipped that several Septembers had come and gone and there was no chance of division of the State. He also advised the TRS leaders not to provoke the people.
Lagadapati has questioned KCR as to why he doesn’t participate in the vice-president’s election and vote for UPA candidate if the Centre had given a word on Telangana State to him.
