Chinna Reddy decries CM’s attitude towards RTC crew

Wanaparthy MLA and AICC secretary G Chinna Reddy took serious exception to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao threatening the RTC workers that he would close the TSRTC if they go on strike from June 11.

Speaking to the media here on Friday along with another AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao, Chinna Reddy said RTC workers played a key role in separate Telangana movement. “It was atrocious on the part of KCR to ignore the RTC employees, who were more than 50,000”. Alleging that KCR’s faulty policies forced the RTC to accumulate losses, Chinna Reddy said the government was keen on frustrating the strike but not to concede the demands of the RTC workers. He also alleged that the workload was increasing on the crew due to non-filling vacant driver and conductor posts.

V Hanumantha Rao said Chief Minister KCR was trying to create fear psychosis among the TSRTC personnel by saying that those participating in the strike would be sacked. The Chief Minister was giving Rs 5 crore and five acre land to the caste associations though they did not ask for it, he pointed out and said KCR was threatening the RTC employees, who were demanding reasonable wage hike. He also alleged that the government was imposing fines on the roads in unjustified manner and asked the government not to do such troubling acts towards people and employees.

He informed that the TPCC was thinking on Panchayat Raj elections and informed that OBC Committee meeting will be held in the presence of AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi on June 11. The Congress party would work with the slogan that ‘there will be happy if worked together’ in 2019 elections. (NSS)
