Chinese vice president in Kolkata

Kolkata: Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao arrived here on Wednesday on the second leg of his five-day visit to India.
Li, who arrived in India on Tuesday, flew into the eastern metropolis from Aurangabad where he visited the Ajanta caves in the morning.
The Chinese leader was received at the NSC Bose International Airport by West Bengal Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim, and officials of the Chinese consulate here.
Li is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerje at the Eco Park in the city’s northeastern fringes on Thursday evening.
He would also go around the ancestral house of Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore at Jorasanko and have a luncheon meeting with Governor K.N. Tripathi. He would leave for Delhi after the Eco Park event.
