Chinese incursion into Indian Territory

New Delhi, September 06: In a fresh case of intrusion by Chinese troops, the Chinese troops entered 1.5 kms into Indian Territory.

The mandarin troops entered the Ladakh some 1.5 kms from the International border.

The Chinese also painted rocks red which could be an effort to lodge claim over the territory.

This is the fresh case in recent times as earlier; a Chinese helicopter had violated the Indian airspace.

The Chinese entered the Indian territory near Mount Gya, which is recognised as international border by both the Nations.

The 22,420-ft Mount Gya is situated at the tri-junction of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, and Tibet.

It is worth mention here that the boundary was marked during the British regime and is considered as international border by the two countries, whose relations are not so friendly.
