Hyderabad: Telangana will complete its projects in the state by taking assistance of Chinese financial institutions and technology, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.
During a high level meeting with a team comprising Huang Wanlin and Executive Manager Lu wiming of Gezhoba a China’s noted construction company for second consecutive day at camp office, the chief minister said that a team will be sent to China for studying the projects there. The company offered to pump in Rs 10,000 cr investments for the projects. We will work in coordination with China in terms of practices and complete the projects.
KCR categorically said that study will prove handy as China is noted for using better technology in irrigation projects and lifting waters to more heights. The Chief Minister invited the Gezhoba company to participate in tenders for Kaleshwaram, Tupakulagudem and Sitarama projects. He asked the officials to take a final call on the projects after their return from China. KCR noted Chinese companies are known for adopting better policy of quality and standards. Tenders should be called for construction of pump houses, pipelines, canals and lift works by setting targets for completion of the projects. Water should reach Ellampally and Mallanna Sagar through Kaleshwaram by 2017.(NSS)
