Chinese Army crossed Line of Actual Control in Ladakh: Congress

Jammu: Opposition Party Congress on Saturday have expressed their strong concern over Chinese Army soldiers crossing the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ladakh division.

“We condemn the attempts of the Chinese army of continuous interference with our territory and its hostile attitude towards India. It is a serious matter for the country, about their incursion in Damchok”, said JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, News18 reports.

Chinese soldiers crossing the LAC in Demchok sector of Ladakh after some Tibetans marking Dalai Lama’s birthday hoisted Tibetan flags, has alerted the Indian Army reminding them of the tensions caused in the year 2017 with this intrusion in the Doklam sector.

There is another version to this incident with the South Block Sources that saying the Chinese soldiers were in civilian clothes and they did not cross the LAC but displayed banners reading “Ban all activities to split Tibet”.

“It is very aggressive posturing of China for past few years and now its quite a hostile neighbour” said the spokesperson.

Suggesting that Indian government must deal with this situation firmly, he said action taken now shall send message to the neighbouring country not to repeat such mischief activities in future.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured the nation that there shall be no leniency in the matter of national security and safeguarding of our borders and he must act in this direction as the entire nation is behind the government on the issue of nation’s unity and territorial integrity”, the spokesman added.
