Hong Kong: Chinese stocks closed slightly higher on Tuesday as investors chased small firms and technology companies after Beijing and the Washington pulled back from the brink of a trade war at the weekend.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.51 points to 3,214.35, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, gained 0.38 percent, or 7.10 points, to 1,855.16.
