Shanghai: USA, UK, France altogether carried out airstrikes in Syria today after a recent poisonous gas leak killed 75 civilians in Syria’s Douma region under Syrian President Bashar regime.
Russia is believed to be allied with Bashar al-Assad’s government. China’s foreign ministry responding to the mission launched to deter chemical weapons in Syria called for a fair objective investigation into the suspected chemical weapon attacks and said it believes only a political settlement is the way to resolve the Syrian issue, Reuters reported.
Hua Chunying, Ministry’s spokeswoman, said China opposes the use of any sort of military actions in international relations and that are also a direct violation of the basic principles and norms of international law.
Hua made the comments during a press conference according to a transcript posted on its website.
