Beijing: An explosion at chemical plant in Eastern China’s Shandong province killed eight people and injured five on Monday night at 1 am.
A per a report by DC, the mishap took place by an explosion of a liquefied gas tanker in a loading area at the Linyi Jinyu Petrochemical Co. plant.
Several fuel storage tanks caught fire and got blasted at Lingang Economic Zone in the city of Linyi.

The injured were taken to the hospital while the plant’s owner was detained by police. Nearby areas of the accident are also evacuated.
The Lingang Economic Zone posted a statement on the internet that the fire was extinguished after more than 900 firefighters responded.
