Panaji, July 14: Goa Children’s court today framed charges against a 65-year-old former bureaucrat and his two young sons for allegedly sexually abusing a minor girl who died after consuming poison four years back.
Children’s court President P V Sawaikar framed charges against former state director of civil supplies Goerge Thomas Kuruvilla and his two sons, Suraj (25) and Sham (21) for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl, who was staying at their residence at Sangolda village.
The court also charged Kuruvilla’s wife, Lezata Mascarenhas, in this case under Goa Children’s Act.
Charges under section 305 of IPC (abetment of suicide), Section 8 (9) and 7 (5) of Goa Children’s Act for keeping the minor girl in the house without legal permission and her sexual abuse were framed in this case.
