Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government today gave Rs 60,000 as ex gratia relief to the family of three brothers killed in an explosion in Udhampur yesterday.
Udhampur District Administration provided a relief of Rs 20,000 each to the kin of the three young brotherskilled in the accidental blast near Jammu-Srinagar national highway in the district, an official spokesman said.
The three brothers were identified as Vikas (15), Deepu (10) and Meheshu (7), sons of Bola Ram of Ramban district presently living in Barmi area in Udhampur.
Tehsildar Udhampur Sapna Kotwal handed over the relief amount to the family, the spokesman said.
The Udhampur Deputy Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, on the directions of the Chief Minister has also formulated a case for relief of Rs 1.50 lakh for the each victim, making a total of 4.50 lakh to the family.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana has been appointed as Enquiry Officer in the matter to be assisted by Additional SP, he added.
