Children who took birth in the capital Delhi after the year 1993 or residing along with their parents in the city after 1993 will not be eligible to avail the benefits of OBC category as per the decision of parliament made on Tuesday.
The statement was announced by Minister of State for Home, M. Ramachandran in the Lok Sabha in a written statement.
Ramachandran said the government of Delhi issues Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates based on the directions, guidelines and instructions from the central government.
