Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) in association with NGO Divya Disha (Child Line) has opened a child help desk at platform number one, Secunderabad railway station.
“It would provide temporary transit care and protection to a child found on the railway premises or inside trains by RPF, Government Railway Police, railway employee, or any other public or public spirited citizen,” SCR said in a statement issued here.
It would be manned round the clock by the representatives of the NGO engaged in child protection.
Toys, first-aid and food will be provided at the desk.
