Srinagar, June 02: A boy was killed in an accidental fire by his 10-year-old cousin in Basohli area of Kathua district, police said here today. The incident occurred at village Palai in Basohli area, about 120-kms from here, in Kathua last evening when Sonu was fiddling with a country made gun of his father.
The gun suddenly went off hitting his 6-year-old cousin Abhi Jamwal, who died on the spot, they said. Jamwal had come to the house of his maternal uncle a few days back.
Hearing the gun shot, the family rushed to the room and found the boy in a pool of blood. Sonu has been detained, they said, adding the gun has also been seized.
