Anantapur, January 31: Chief Minister Mr. N. Kirankumar Reddy has showered gift after gift on Anantapur district during his ‘Racha Banda’ programme at Garla Dinne in the district on Sunday.
Addressing people he has assured that a junior college for women and a hostel would be set up at Garla Dinne. He has also assured that a bridge from Penakacharla dam to Kattimala would be taken up soon after estimates were prepared. He has directed the officials to give priority to drinking water schemes and take them up.
Mr. Reddy said while Rs. 843 crores was released under the Pavala Vaddi scheme during the past six years, an amount of Rs. 439 crores was released during the past 15 days, with regards to payments due to beneficiaries from the previous year.
Mr. Reddy has handed over Rs.56.16 crores provided by the SBI, Syndicate Bank, Grameena Bank and DCC to beneficiaries. He has directed the district collector to issue ration cards to 168 persons who have submitted their applications during the ‘Racha Banda’ within two days. The Chief Minister distributed various benefits under different government schemes to the beneficiaries.
