(Siasat News) Chief Electoral Offier, Mr. Bhanwarlal told that if Mr. K. Parthasarathy, Minister for Education has not entered the details of pending criminal cases against him in the affidavit submitted by him at the time of submission of nomination for Assembly elections, action would be taken against him as per rules which may disqualify him for participation in elections for six years.
He said that he has already instructed the collector to review his affidavit. It may be noted that the court has sentenced him two months imprisonment under Foreign Exchange Regulations Act for violating the rules. The court has provided him relief by keeping the punishment in abeyance for a period of one month. Opposition and congress leaders have demanded his resignation. He himself claimed that he has no case pending against him.
