Chidambaram should have direct talk with me: Nitish

Patna, April 16: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said Union Home Minister P Chidambaram should have “direct talks” with him instead of speaking through the media on “a sensitive issue” like naxalism.

The Naxal-affected states of West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand met in Kolkata in the month of February in at high-level meeting summoned by the Home Minister to tackle the naxal-menace.

“I have participated in several meetings called by Prime Minister in New Delhi…I deputed my officials including the home secretary and DGP from Bihar to attend Chidambaram’s meeting at Kolkata,” Kumar countered.
