Raipur [Chhattisgarh]: The IAS officers’ Association of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday here condemned the attack on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and called for immediate remedial action.
According to the association, the incident is without parallel in the annals of the service and has no place in a civil and dignified society.
The association demanded swift and exemplary action against the MLAs, who assaulted Prakash in a midnight meeting on Monday at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.
AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal was on Tuesday night arrested in relation to the assault. The MLA also lodged a complaint against the Chief Secretary with the SC/ST commission and the Sangam Vihar police station, the AAP Councillor told ANI.
Delhi’s bureaucrats have demanded an apology from Kejriwal and have announced to boycott the Delhi government’s meetings till the Chief Minister tenders an apology.(ANI)
