Chhattisgarh Congress demands place in central cabinet

Pathalgaon, August 27: In a letter written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Deputy Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly Rampukar Singh has demanded the state’s representation in the Central cabinet. ”By including sole party MP Charandas Mahant in Central cabinet a good message will propagate in the public,” Mr Singh told UNI today, adding that new states’ — Jharkhand and Uttrakhand — party MPs gained such representation and now its Chhattisgarh’s turn.

He said that the state’s public has been waiting since six years to see the party’s leaders to represent the state in the Central cabinet, hence I wrote letter to Ms Gandhi to aware her of our feelings.

”Mr Mahant played an imminent role in united Madhya Pradesh’s Home minister and Chhattisgarh Congress Committee President,” he added.
