A businessman named Mohammed Ashraf obtained a loan of Rs. 37,03,000 from Ghanshyamlal. The former issued 4 cheques in connection with loan repayment. When the cheques were presented at the bank for encashment the cheques were dishonoured due to insufficient balance. On this Ghanshyamlal filed a petition in the court.
On 21st November 2013, the 24th Special Magistrate Hyderabad pronounced sentence of one year imprisonment to Mohammed Ashraf and a fine of Rs. 10000.
