Chennai: A 12-year-old class seventh student reportedly committed suicide leaving behind a suicide note after her class teacher abused her after her clothes got stained due to menorrhea.
The girl reportedly jumped off a 25-foot-high building in her hometown in Tirunelvelli which is 600 kms from Chennai.
Following the incident, the school teacher was suspended by the school authorities.
We live in a society where parents and families search for a suitable match for their sons but often do not respect a girl only because she is a girl and not a boy and has periods which is a big social taboo.
Guess they really forget had that never existed humans would not exist too. Time to think over those evil ‘taboos’ and old ideologies and start respecting a girl because she is a girl enough to bring in a new life into this world.
