London, July 21: Chelsea are sweating on the fitness of Michael Ballack after the Germany midfielder was forced to return home from the club’s tour to the United States.
The 32-year-old suffered a toe injury in training and is now doubtful for Chelsea’s Community Shield clash with Manchester United August 15.
“Ballack yesterday took a knock on the toe,” new Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said.
