Hyderabad: BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar today asked the CEO to check veracity of voters’ names in the list of electoral rolls and fix them immediately. He complained to the Election Commission that there are large scale irregularities of deletion of voters’ names, duplicate names and irrelevant data in the electoral rolls. He led a team of BJP leaders and called on CEO Rajath Kumar at Secretariat here.
Later he told media persons that he submitted the details of the deletion of the names and others to the CEO. “We will approach the EC if the CEO failed to rectify all the issues pertaining to the electoral rolls, which need to be corrected”, he said. The CEO has promised to rectify the issues within two days, he said.
“Otherwise, we will have to complain to the EC in Delhi”, he said. Prabhakar said that maps and information related to colonies is not right which is to be rectified with immediate effect. I brought to the notice of CEO on the large scale deletion of the voters and the latter sought two days of time to check, he said.
