New Delhi, April 13: Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI), an umbrella body of over 100 companies providing private security guards, has underlined the need for offering employment to rural youth to check migration and rein in crimes in urban areas.
Addressing a gathering on “Urban Security & Private Police” on the sidelines of the 20th Session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at Vienna (Austria), CAPSI chairman Kunwar Vikram Singh put emphasis on involving private security guards in policing to check crimes.
Singh said government police has become more terrorism centric in recent times and urban security has taken a backseat resulting in rise in crimes in urban areas.
He said that due to uncontrolled rural migration to urban areas, the crime situation is becoming more challenging.
