Check attacks on women: Kavitha

Hyderabad: TRS leader and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha today urged the governments to act strongly to check atrocities against women.

Launching women safety wing in Lakdikapul here, along with Home Minister Mahamood Ali, Director General of Police Mahender Reddy and others as part of International Women Day, Kavitha expressed concern over the attacks on girls and women. Despite laws, the attacks on women were continuing unabated, she said. On the occasion, she appreciated the Telangana police for earning good name through She Teams, She cabs and Bharosa centers. The girls and women should immediately call 100 for any help from the police and download hack eye app, she said.

Despite being careful, the attacks on women have not stopped and the victims should not hesitate to complain to the police. The women wing is set up to do immediate justice by punishing the guilty, she said. The girls should not lose courage as the government was planning to start Bharosa centers in all the districts, Kavitha added.
