Cheating case accused dies of heart attack

A 58-year-old man died after being summoned to Chaderghat Police Station for questioning into a case of cheating booked against him.

The deceased, E Satyanarayana, a resident of APHB Colony, came to the police station on Tuesday morning in connection with a cheating case registered against him for allegedly taking Rs 12 lakh from a person by giving him by a fake contract order. However, he suddenly fell unconscious in the police station premises. His son Gautam, who accompanied him, immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital where he died after a few minutes.

The Chaderghat Police then shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. DCP East Zone Shahnawaz Qasim, ACP Sultan Bazar G Someshwar Rao and Chaderghat Inspector LR Venkat Reddy visited the mortuary. Further investigations are on. (INN)
