MUMBAI: On the occasion of National Education Day on Sunday, Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi took to Twitter to highlight the sorry state of the Indian education system.
As Emraan’s next film “Cheat India” is about the education system that precisely focuses on the rampant cheating in exams, he took to his official Twitter handle to celebrate the day.
In the short video clip, ‘Teach India’ was seen transforming into ‘Cheat India.’ He wrote, “A country’s education system is its backbone. Team ‘Cheat India’ celebrates #Nationaleducationday. #CheatIndia #NakalMeinHiAkalHai,” the 39-year-old wrote.

November 11 has been celebrated as the National Education Day since 2008. The date has been chosen to mark the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister — Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
“Cheat India” is Emraan’s first production project and he is also starring in it alongside actress Shreya Dhanwanthary.
His fans on social media reacted and applauded the actor for his clever swipe at the deteriorating education system in India.
One fan wrote, “No one can beat you in choosing the subject of the film.” Another commented, “Waiting for Cheat India.”
