The Chattisgarh Government on Saturday agreed to provide 1,000 MW of power to Telangana State.
The decision to this effect was taken following discussion held between the Chief Secretaries of both the States. This might provide a great relief to Telangana Government which has been facing acute shortage of power, especially after the cyclone ‘Hudhud’ hit the AP coast on October 12. Officials feel that the government would be able to reduce the demand-supply gap to a greater extent. (INN)
