Charminar to Chowmahalla Palace Heritage Walk today

Telangana Tourism Department, in coordination with India Tourism, is organizing Heritage Walk on October 5 from 7am from Charminar toChowmahalla Palace by involving students, tourism stake holders, members from TAAI, IATO, FHRAI, HRATS and so on.

           

In this connection, all District Collectors have been asked to undertake activities like illumination in and around the tourism sites; cultural programs of Dance, Music, Theatre, Story Telling; Excursion Trips for School Children to Tourist Destinations; Quiz, Essay, Debate and Painting Competitions for Students; Sensitization programs for Tourism Service Providers around the sites; Tourism exhibitions showcasing culture, cuisine and Handicrafts/Handlooms; Guided Heritage Walks.

           

In addition to the events, a few public interactive activities such as community sensitization workshops on home stay are required to be conducted. Activities should include cultural programs, heritage walks, painting/debates competitions and so on.

The District Collectors were also asked  to involve all the line departments like Tourism, Endowment, Archaeology & Museums, Archaeological Survey of India, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, District Rural Development Authority, Travel agents & Tour Operators, school & college students to make the event grand success.

           

Nagapuri Ramesh, Athletic Coach, Sports Authority of India, Dronacharya Awardee,  Anoopkuma Yama, Ice-skater, Arjuna Awardee (International Medal winner) will grace the launch of the Paryatan Parv. (NSS)
