Charlotte Rampling, Timothee Chalamet join ‘Dune’ remake

Washington: Charlotte Rampling will be joining American actor Timothee Chalamet in the upcoming remake of ‘Dune’.

The Oscar-nominated actress will play the role of “Reverend Mother Mohiam, the emperor’s truthsayer, a person who can divine intentions, suss out lies, and manipulate people’s emotional states,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Moreover, along with Charlotte and Timothee, Dave Bautista, Rebecca Ferguson and Stellan Skarsgard are also the part of the project.

The shooting for ‘Dune’ remake will be staring this spring.

Directed by American filmmaker David Lynch, the original ‘Dune’ film had first released in 1984. It was considered to be a sci-fi literary classic. The movie tells the story of a noble family’s attempt to control ‘Arrakis’ a desert planet and a rare spice of drug.
