Barbados : Johnson Charles has been named in the West Indies squad to replace batsman Darren Bravo for next month’s World T20 to be played in India.
Earlier,27-year-old Bravo had pulled out of the squad for the upcoming T20 pinnacle event in order to concentrate on the longer format of the game.
Charles, who played his last T20 against Sri Lanka in November 2014, finished as the third-highest run-getter for his side, St Lucia Zouks, in the Caribbean Premier League ( CPL) 2015, ESPNcricinfo reported.
The ICC World T20 is slated to be held in India from March 8 to April 3, with the Darren Sammy-led side playing their opening match against England on March 16.
