Hyderabad, October 29 (Siasat News): SEED stands for Support for Educational and Economic Development initiated by Mr. Syed Mazheruddin Hussein, an NRI who had migrated from Hyderabad to Dallas, US in 1972 on a student visa and faced a lot of difficulties in settling there.
When he talked to Siasat in an exclusive interview, he said that even in Hyderabad, he had faced difficulties in pursuing his studies. Right from the beginning, he had a dream that education should play an important role in everybody’s life.
Mr. Hussein treated education an effective weapon to eradicate poverty and is a passport to the future.
While expressing his views, he revealed that Huda school at Sultanshahi was adopted by him and was converted into an English medium school with strength of 600 students.
Apart from Muslim boys and girls, students from other communities are also given admission. Urdu and Arabic languages are also taught.
In this uniform, school bags and books are given free. The other feather in the cap of this school is providing technical training to those students who are slow learners enabling them to maintain their livelihood even if they are not highly educated. Tailoring and driver’s training are to name a few.
According to Mr. Hussein US government has also given permission to raise funds for this noble cause and given tax exemption. Rahmania Tailoring Centre is providing tailoring skill to the learners.
Mr. Hussein is of the opinion that charity with dignity is the main factor of his campaign to eradicate poverty that a donee should not be embarrassed at any cost. As the Hadith goes that whatever you give as alms with your right hand, even your left hand should not be aware of that.
